In order to provide a bespoke service to my clients I offer a range of therapy and counselling consultations. In all consultations I use a focused approach to enable my clients to navigate their way forward. These sessions range from deep analytic consultations to short directed consultations. All offer a future focused address of whatever difficulties life is presenting at that time. Sessions are geared toward finding practical solutions and implementing them in the shortest time possible. Consultations are informed by all the areas I have studied from Traditional Philosophy and Religion to Clinical Hypnosis and Modern Psychology.
An image will illustrate my approach: Picture an enormous mountain - one so large you cannot comprehend its size as it fills your entire vision. Fascinating scrub land, white, yellow, red wild flowers and vibrant aromatic bushes grow upon the sides of this mountain. Dark and jagged rocks jut out that hint at hidden depths and fascinate in their surface complexity. Transfixed by this landscape it is difficult to know where you are going. Guidance is sought to traverse a difficult path around this mountain. The way ahead is often obscured by the vibrant and complex features of the surroundings. Effective action is needed. First I take my clients hand and help them regain their inner sense of direction and reconnect with themselves. Then I help them navigate their way forward through difficult terrain. Sometimes this consists in me opening a hidden door within the side of the mountain to enable my clients to step within and observe the glittering Cathedral inside. By so doing I help them find a more straightforward way to their desired destination than the treacherous route they may have been treading.
As well as studying Traditional Philisophy I was trained to a very high standard at the Institute of Clinical Hypnosis in London to practice professionally. My qualifications, including an Advanced Professional in Clinical Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, were and still are, all these years later, prestigious. My analytic approach might still be termed broadly Ericksonian though when I was studying back in the 90s as part of the Psychotherapy side of my courses I studied Freud, Jung, Reich, Adler, Ellis, Fritz Perls, the whole lot of them and many others. And importantly, I have a lot of experience: For over 20 years I have counselled and guided many clients through many difficulties. Therefore no matter what or where I have studied or who I have studied with, my approach is fundamentally my own. I’ve shaped my practice guided by life, inspiration and research and it is always directed towards my client's needs.
As well as my U.K. clients I have clients in many time zones across the world so this too can be worked around and arranged. Consultations can be via Skype or my landline telephone that clients can call me on from different countries.
